Hello everyone! My name is Hadas.
The three areas I mentioned above - French, photography, and piano - are what keep me going. They are what I am most passionate about. I started all 3 at a fairly young age: piano at age 7, French at age 12, and photography at age 15. I took piano lessons for 11 years. I took classes in photography in both high school and college and spent a great deal of time practicing taking photos. In 2012 I studied abroad to further my comfort and fluency with French and it is one of the best decisions I've ever made.
My goal as a tutor is not only to help with improvement and confidence in these subjects, but to also share some of my own excitement and love of the arpeggios Chopin loves to write, the complicated structure of French languages, and how if you wait long enough, often, the picture just makes itself.
I've worked with children age 12-17 on chamber music at Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra camp for two summers. We focused on how to listen to one another and once the notes are down, how to bring music to something beyond what lies on the page.
This goes beyond academics or performance. If I can share some genuine passion with the student, it can lead to improvement in surprising ways. Irregular verbs will become your best friend!
