I have a MA in Math from State University of New York and MS in Computer from Case Institute of Technology. Besides 25 years of software experience, I have taught part time in the Math and Computer Science department at San Jose State University. I love to see my students understand the principles and apply them to solving problems and will try different ways to make these clear to them, depending on their ability and background.

I am teaching Math subjects from algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, statistics, discrete math, C, C++ to high school as well as junior college students. I am able to specially prepare the junior college students in difficult subjects like calculus and C/C++ programming to prepare for the big step to UC and other Universities.

I have taught intermediate algebra to college students for many quarters and understand the difficulties the students may have and how to help them.

I have taught and tutored geometry in algebra and calculus classes for many quarters to college students and know how to make the concepts and skills clear and easy for the students to understand.

Prealgebra

I have taught pre-algebra to college students for many quarters and understand well how to help them to overcome their difficulties in this subject.

Discrete Math

I have taken many graduate level classes in the area of Discrete Mathematics, including Probability (including Combinatorics and Permutations), Statistics, Analysis of Algorithms, Graph Theory, Network Analysis, Security Analysis, Digital Systems, and Number Theory. C++

I have MS degree in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
I have programmed in C, C++ on Unix, Linux based systems for 20 years.
I have worked on Unix kernel code, device drivers, RDBMS systems all using C, C++.
I have done extensive design, development, debugging, performance tuning in C, C++ systems on Unix and Linux.

C

I have used the C language for building products for 20 years. This includes a Unix disk driver I developed from scratch. I have used C to help me to analyze Unix file system performance. I have used C to analyze and enhance both Informix and Oracle Relational Database Management Systems.

I have also taught C to students in a data structure class at San Jose State University.

Computer Science

I have taught in the Math and Computer Science department at San Jose State University for many quarters. I have also worked in the IT industry for over 20 years with many great companies in the Silicon Valley. I love teaching the concepts and practices I have learned from my training and work experience to my students.

UNIX

I have my MS degree in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. I have worked on Unix systems for over 20 years, written I/O drivers, and tuned and enhanced its file system performance. I have done extensive development on applications that run on Unix systems, including RDBMS, eCommerce, and image diagnostic systems. I have taught classes at San Jose State University that are based on Unix systems.

Computer Engineering

I have an MS degree in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. I have done serious industry grade programming for over 25 years in various fields like computer image processing, bank wire transfers, medical imaging for diagnostics. I have worked with top notch hardware as well as software people to build state of the art products for those 25 years.
