I am a Registered Professional Mechanical Engineer who would like to tutor students interested in learning. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree, in Mechanical Engineering, from Cooper Union, one of the top-10 small engineering schools in the country and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, a top major university. I have over 35 years of experience engineering and have been a tutor/mentor to many workers in my organization.
As an engineer, I am required to be capable of using my engineering, science and math knowledge to solve real-life problems. I am also required to write up the processes and procedures that I use to solve the problems and draw conclusions and recommendations from the experience. As an aid to both the problem solving and written work, I have become very familiar with the Microsoft Office suite of applications, including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
I will go out of my way to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. I am open to either one-on-one or group tutoring sessions. My approach is very interactive. While I can and will lecture on the subject, I will also work through sample problems, one on one, taken from the student’s homework.
