I have aptitude and experience with various laboratory techniques, procedures, and scientific equipment operation including research and microwaves in tissue preparation for scanning and transmission electron microscopy. In microbiology, I became proficient with aseptic techniques, microbial isolation, and microbial identification. In various chemistry requirements and electives, I have become proficient in data collection, data/computer analysis, and technical report writing. I have additional experience utilizing spectroscopy in agricultural patent research involving alternative pest treatment technologies, microbiology, and cosmetic material testing. I have worked in industrial research and development with UV light-curable materials involving formulation and quality control testing.
I also have an aptitude for computers. I have experience with Geographical Information Systems technology involving database management, mapping techniques, and cartography. I also utilize MS software in data analysis, database analysis, SQL programming, and utilizing Excel/Access to provide information analysis for informed executive/management decisions.

I returned to Butte College part-time student as a result of a corporate layoff/plant closure in order to expand my employment in finance/business administration/real estate. I will be completing coursework to continue with state licensing examinations. Currently working as a staff scientist.
