I love sharing knowledge and have an especially strong passion for teaching Excel. For several years I owned my own Excel training firm teaching others how to use the under-utilized (and much needed) business tool. I also use Excel on a daily basis in the realm of Finance to consolidate exported reports from software such as SAP, Crystal, and SalesForce. I teach pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF formulas, and more. I teach the logic behind formulas so that students can understand the "why" and "how" of the action they are performing and apply it to other situations. Simply using a formula wizard in a one-instance situation does not always create the best environment for learning retention.
As a largely self-taught expert, due to the seeming lack of one-on-one Excel resources out there, I understand how frustrating technology can be. I do my best to speak as plainly as possible with my students, as most of us are not software developers. Over the years I have worked excessively with PowerPoint, Word and Outlook, and have a very strong understanding of those programs as well (although I only have formal coursework available for Excel). If my experience matches with what you are looking to accomplish, feel free to contact me. I look forward to working with you!
