My name is James and I have a great variety of knowledge of many subjects including computers, English, writing, electronics, religion (Christian) and real estate (California). I have over 20 years in tutoring experience with all ages being tutored. My tutoring approach is simple: discover where the student is having difficulties, make necessary corrections, and implement changes.

I hold a Certificate in Behavioral Consulting and am trained in learning behavioral studies. I have a Master's Degree in Counseling and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. I have worked as a counselor and consultant to a diverse population of people. I am trained to tutor individuals at all levels of education.

Having been a lifelong student and the holder of five college degrees, I know the rigors that are present in our scholastic system. Because of the competitiveness of most schools, it is increasingly difficult to compete against other students for the best grades. I can help you to overcome mental blocks to learning with special, simple to remember rules and mental tricks so you will get more done in less time.

ASVAB

There are eight different areas tested for in the ASVAB exam. I perform a diagnostic test first to determine where the student is at BEFORE jumping into to the process of re-learning. This exhibits faster and more long lasting results than with out it.
I am former military and have a great deal of experience with these subject areas. You can rest assured that the student will be up to speed in a short period of time.

Special Needs

Special need is learning disabilities such as ADD or ADHD. It is important to do a assessment of the essential functioning of the individual, basic comprehension and hand eye coordination, the ability to pay attention enough to concentrate on the subject, etc. Speech impairment is a special need requiring the tutor/instructor to re-teach or teach for the first time how to form words, how to talk basically. College Counseling

I have attended 5 different colleges all with outstanding grades. I have worked with a multitude of college counselors to get the right classes and tests for my degree programs.
