Due to my work schedule, I now only offer tutoring over winter break (mid-December to early February) and summer break (mid-June to mid-August). I give preference to Organic Chemistry students.
I recently graduated (2011) with my Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, and am currently working part-time as a chemistry professor at a community college. I have experience teaching General and Organic Chemistry, and working one-on-one with both high school and undergraduate students. In my academic career, I have always been a straight A student at the top of my class.
I have a warm and fun personality, and my students find it easy to relate with me while still maintaining a professional relationship. I am good at explaining complex and technical concepts to a wide variety of students. I have experience working with high school, undergraduate, and graduate students, and have tutored students in the following classes: College Prep Chemistry, AP Chemistry, General Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry.
In addition to working as a professor, I work from home as a chemistry content writer for an online educational resource developing course review and test prep materials for AP Chemistry. I also work as a chemistry editor for various science journals. Since I work from home, my tutoring schedule is very flexible!
Most importantly...I love chemistry and I love teaching!
