Hi Everyone

I went to MIT and I'm looking to help out some kids on the side. I studied electrical engineering with more focus on analog electronics, but I did a little digital too. I feel pretty good with math and engineering topics. I can do some science and other stuff too, just ask me about it.

I own my very own whiteboard.

I like to try and teach concepts and information rather than just the method a book asks for. I also try and help the students think about "the test" so not only will they understand a concept, they think about what they need to do to prove they understand it.

Science:
Electrical Engineering,
Physics
Test Preparation:
SAT Math

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 1

I have an engineering degree from MIT. I have also tutored different math subjects privately in the past. I use algebra on a day to day basis at my job.

Algebra 2

I have an engineering degree from MIT. I have also tutored different math subjects privately in the past. I have tutored algebra 2 through Wyzant and I also use it for the more advanced subjects I have been approved for.

Calculus

I use calculus to solve circuit problems and calculus concepts every day at work. I have an engineering degree from MIT. Calculus was a required class for everyone.

Differential Equations

I graduated from MIT with an engineering degree. During my time there, I took differential equations and linear algebra. I still have my book and notes that I can share with a student to help them as well.

Electrical Engineering

I graduated from MIT with a degree in electrical engineering. I currently work as an applications engineer. I occasionally assisted friends with beginning circuit concepts while in college.

Geometry

My geometry skills are strong and I know different ways to break down problems to make them more understandable to the student. I have an engineering degree from MIT. I have also tutored different math subjects privately in the past.

Prealgebra

I have an engineering degree from MIT. I taught a summer program multiple times to incoming 8th graders. I have also tutored different math subjects privately in the past.

Precalculus

At MIT, there isn't a precaclulus class, so you have to know precalculus concepts when you attend. I had a strong precalculus background when I arrived at MIT and was able to get through the rest of the calculus requirements. I graduated with an engineering degree from MIT.

SAT Math

I have taken the SAT Math and Math II subject tests. I also know different test-taking techniques that will help eliminate wrong answers and take up less time. I realize that the SAT not only tests a student's knowledge but also their test-taking ability.

Trigonometry

Trigonometry was one of my favorite subjects in school. I have tutored students in the past in this subject with good results. I graduated from MIT with an engineering degree.
