Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Guitar

I minored in music from Life Pacific College. This involved a year of music theory and ear training, a year of private instruction in vocals, piano and guitar, and three years of weekly public performance in a band. I have been involved in a band part-time for the past seven years straight.

I have tutored numerous guitar students at my church. I specialize in assessing individual strengths and weaknesses for the purpose of creating a custom plan to address specific student patterns. This allows students to progress far more quickly than general guitar instruction.

Religion

I have a Master's Degree in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics from the largest graduate philosophy program in the world. I have an undergraduate degree in Biblical Studies with a minor in pastoral ministry and counseling psychology. I have been involved in ministry with the Foursquare church for the past 11 years--the past three as a full-time youth pastor.

I specialize in both the practical and academic side of religion.
