I am a self-motivated, dependable, and energetic individual who has extensive experience in both tutoring and coaching athletics. I am currently earning my PhD in War Studies from King's College London through a distance learning program. I have a Bachelor’s degree both in International Affairs and in Spanish Language, Literature, and Culture from Marquette University. Through Marquette’s Honors Program, I took advanced literature, philosophy, and history courses, all of which required strong research, writing, and analytical skills. I earned a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the College of William and Mary, through which I further developed my research, writing, and quantitative skills. In particular, I took courses in econometrics, quantitative methods, statistics, national security policy, and U.S. foreign policy. Concerning my prior teaching and tutoring experience, while attending Marquette University, I worked as a Spanish tutor for undergraduate intermediate Spanish courses, and I volunteered to tutor students in calculus, English, literature, writing, and political science. Moreover, while studying abroad in Madrid, Spain, I helped teach English to Spanish elementary students. As a research assistant at the College of William and Mary, I served as a Teacher’s Assistant for an undergraduate statistics course, creating homework and exam problems and grading the students’ work. While working in Kosovo, I led a debate skills training course for Kosovo youth in preparation for the Kosovo National Debate Competition. I was also the President of the Marquette University Debate Team. In regard to athletics, I have coached figure skating, both group and individual lessons, for over eight years. As a coach, I helped numerous students to achieve top placements at competitions and to receive passing marks on USFSA exams. Finally, I was the Captain of the Marquette University Wakeboard Team, and I have experience in distance running and snowboarding.
