I find that for study, you can to go through the book 3 times: skim, read, and review.
Skim so you have a glance of ALL the topics covered. Do not worry if you do not grasp everything. If you grasp 1/3, you are doing fine.
Often you read, say, Chapter 1 and something does not click. Then you remembered a similar topic covered in Chapter 9; you go to chapter 9 get some further info/insight...
Often you find yourself in a class where the teacher's style does not fit your way of learning. Ideally for a class of 30 students, the teacher teaches 30 different ways, each way customized perfectly for each student. This is impossible. The style of
