As an educator and artist, I assist students in realizing their own unlimited creative capacity, offer space for students to grow, and provide support and guidance as needed. Each human’s perspective is valid, significant, profound, and every person has a great deal to offer creatively. It is common for individuals to believe that they are not creative and they may question their capacity to bring something new into existence. However, I believe we all have inherent creativity but in many cases are led to believe otherwise. My desire is to assist students in acknowledging this truth and to support them in embracing, stimulating, and further developing their creativity.

My extensive visual art experience allows me to assist students in building strong foundational skills. If individuals are interested in learning to draw realistically, I first teach them how to see differently--a necessary tool when learning how to draw, paint, or create visual art in general. Learning to see differently is even extremely beneficial when creating abstract art. My desire is to help students to release any fear of judgement around art-making, to create their own best work, and to enjoy the process.

My education includes of a Master of Fine Arts degree and I have experience teaching adults, children, and adults with developmental disabilities.
