I am a professional photographer in Oakland, CA.

I have an MFA and a BA in photography and work in both digital and film mediums.

In my work, I am equally at home shooting wedding and special event photography as I am with fine art. I shoot many self portraits.

I teach classes and private lessons on many subjects, including all aspects of photography (both film and digital). I am a computer wiz (especially if its Mac based) and I'd be happy to show you everything I know about Macs or Adobe products. I jumped around a lot in college, so I amassed a large knowledge bank of the sciences also.

I have years of tutoring experience, so I am able to customize a session to fit your needs, whether that is hands on or more lecture based. I can go slow and I can go quickly. The student leads the show!

Botany

Botany was my minor in college. I had the pleasure of taking biology, botany, plant physiology, and other interesting classes. I spent much time in a laboratory with my face in a microscope!

College was also when I discovered my green-thumb, spending hours working in our campus greenhouse.

Public Speaking

I have been doing public speaking, performances, and storytelling since I was a young child.

I know many techniques (beyond the standard "picture them in underwear") that can boost confidence and have a considerable effect on public speaking effectiveness.

I was the speaker at both my High School and College graduations, as well as at many smaller functions throughout my life.

With a little coaching, you'll feel more at ease in front of a crowd also!

Macintosh

I am an Apple Geek! I have been working on Mac computers since 2004.

I currently use a MacBook, a MacMini, an iPhone, and an iPad. I have in depth knowledge of most Apple programs and OS.

I love using shortcuts, quickkeys, and other Mac-based tricks.

If I don't know the answer to a problem, I know how to locate an answer in about 30 seconds.
