I've been a freelance 2D/3D artist for over 7 years. Starting with a strong fine arts foundation, I have developed skills in motion graphics, character design, lighting, texturing, editing, illustration, painting, graphic design and live video systems, as well as over a decade of audio design and music production. I am very passionate about sharing information because it can be so difficult to get a foothold in an industry that guards it's secrets to monopolize success. Video Production

As the Touring Visual Jockey for DNAE beats and Gift of Gab, my task has been to compile and design videos and 3d animations in real-time midi controlled club and venue environments. I use Adobe After Effects to compile video footage into clips that I can fire off via midi control in real time to live music. Drawing

While studying for my 3d modeling degree at the Academy of Art University, I became enamored with the fine arts, especially in the category of figure drawing and painting. Through the foundations I was able to grasp the more subtle concepts of light and shadow, subtle plane changes and proportional accuracy.

Painting

I have been trained at the Academy of Art University in the complexities of color and design theory, atmospheric perspective, figure drawing and composition. I received high remarks from my teachers who recognized my grasp of the figure both clothed and nude. Some of my favorite paint mediums are oil, acrylic and watercolor.

Maya

I have a bachelor's degree in 3d modeling and animation from the Academy of Art University. I graduated in '06 and have professionally applied my skills in designing visuals for acts such as Gift of Gab from Blackalicious, and veteran producer DNAE beats. Beyond that, I have skills in both hard surface modeling and character design. I am well versed in the sub categories of uv mapping, bump and normal mapping, and rendering.

Adobe InDesign

I learned all about InDesign and QuarkXpress when I spent a few years in the pre-press department at a printing press called Digital Engraving. Using my graphic design foundation, I was able to expand my knowledge on typography and layout publishing for posters, wine labels, business cards and pamphlets, for very reputable clients like NBC, Coppola, Wired Magazine and Ovid winery.
