Biology doesn't have to be a painful subject! I've been lucky enough to experience it not only in the classroom, but firsthand, from the genetics laboratory to the African savanna! It is my goal to share what I've learned about biology and the natural world with others, and in my opinion, one-on-one tutoring is the way to go. Particularly with biology, which can seem very abstract when you're only learning individual theories and processes, I think integrating the subject with interesting examples and stories is by far the best way to remember the information and whet your intellectual appetite for more!
I have been tutoring students in biology and the sciences for over 5 years. I have experience tutoring IB and AP biology at the high school level, as well as tutoring introductory college courses. My favorite tutoring experience, however, was helping students in South Africa design research topics and experiments concerning conservation in the savanna. That experience really brought all my years of study together and helped me become a much more efficient, understanding, and engaging tutor.
