Hi There!

I have been a mathematics tutor for over 8 years (on and off) in the Bay Area. I mainly tutor children and teens, but am willing to tutor college-aged students, as well. My primary subject is mathematics, but I am willing to tutor in a few other subjects.

I find that tutees are different in their learning styles and so I am a big believer in combinatory approaches to learning including auditory, visual and especially for younger children whatever piques their current interests (e.g., I taught a math lesson with a variation of duck, duck, goose...sometimes you've just got to roll with it.)

I started tutoring because I realized that as a female, not a lot of young girls (or boys for that matter) enjoy mathematics. I always tell my students math is like a video game, once you've learned the rules, the combinations and the hidden codes, it is the best game ever and you just have to keep practicing to beat your high score.

It's not just math that I want to impart the wisdom and enjoyment of to others, it's any subject that may at first seem extremely daunting.

I hope you will choose me and I look forward to meeting you!
