Hello!
My name is Mitch, I’m 26 and originally from Seattle, Washington. I love writing, travel, photography, and of course, English! I’ve wandered through close to 30 countries and lived for extended periods in three (not counting the USA!).
I worked for two and a half years teaching English as a second language overseas. I have taught conversation, grammar, writing and reading. I lived a year and a half in Thailand, teaching elementary school, and then a year in Japan, teaching students of all ages. I learned what it means to be a good teacher, being engaging and fun while effectively communicating information. I've taught classes with fifty 11 year old Thai kids, (yikes!) and private one to one classes with 80 year old Japanese men.
Before I was an English teacher I wrote, proofread, and helped edit articles for a travel magazine in Seattle. I've spent the better half of my life in love with written English and enjoy being able to pass that on to my students.
I've been taught to have patience, clarity, and to encourage my students in the last few years of teaching. I'm affable, and kind, and would love to meet your English learning needs!
