Hi! I'm an honors economics graduate from UC Berkeley specializing in macro and micro economics as well as intro economics courses.
I've had the opportunity to work with Obama economic advisor Professor David Romer for my honors thesis, serve as an Economist for the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, and as an Economic Consultant for Deloitte.
I also have two years of teaching experience as a top English instructor in South Korea's largest English academy Chungdahm Learning.
Economics is a way to analyze the world. I hope to simplify the economic principles so that my students can develop an intuition to logically answer any question they may find in their courses.
Basketball:
I am currently in my first year of coaching basketball. I love it! My National Junior Basketball (NJB) 7th and 8th grade team is currently the top ranked Palo Alto team. I love coaching kids and have a natural ability to connect with my players.
Recently I've received praise that I'll always cherish as a bball coach:
A player's mother told me that of all the coaches her son has played for, including current NBA player Jeremy Lin, I was by far the best coach in her son's opinion. She told me that this season was the first she's ever seen her son get "pumped up" to go to practice.
My team has fun playing together and improving. I am very involved in practices and enjoy getting a workout by playing with and challenging my players first hand.
I teach basketball fundamentals with an emphasis on shooting mechanics and offensive and defensive positioning.
My basketball background:
- 20 years playing experience
- 2 years HS Varsity
- 3 years head counselor at John Ward's basketball camp in Santa Barbara
