My name is Fain and I have been a volunteer tutor for almost two years. I have been tutoring at a Independent study school. At this school, the teacher will request, at times to become a tutor for a particular group of students. I tutor students ranging from 3rd to 8th grade. I have a B.A degree in English in Creative Writing which as helped me refine my English skills that benefits not only myself but for any students that I teach. I can also help with subjects such as Basic History and Science. I love to motivate students and help them to achieve their goals. One of the activities that I enjoy the most is helping students one on one. This interaction between the students and I makes it easier for me to focus on the problems that they may be facing from a more focused perspective.
As a group, a student may feel intimidated to discuss openly the problems they may be facing with a certain lecture of problem that causes them to disregard it in favor of moving on with the group. This is one of the reasons why I wanted to be a tutor to help those students individually without any distractions or intimidating settings that could cause the student to lose focus on what they need to work on. My attention will be solely on them which will allow the student to come to a better understanding of the subject in question. I am a very motivated to help guide students towards a solution in a clear and concise matter that will benefit them in their academic work. I feel proud to embrace their goals and achievements as if they were my own children.
As a fellow parent, I understand that a child’s goals and accomplishments are important and I will do my best to help your child to achieve their goals. If there is one aspect that I have learned through my own experience as a mother, is that it is not always easy to trust others with nurturing the growth of your child.
However, trust me when I say that I will do the best for your child and guide them towards the right path when trying to achieve their goals.
