There are so many benefits to learning about other cultures and studying language. If language does not come easy to you, there are many different approaches to take. Every individual has a different learning style. I can help figure out what works best for you, and as a result, learning another language should be more appealing. I want to impart some enthusiasm and fun into the challenge of learning.
I currently teach French to pre-schoolers, eight year olds, and a Mom's group; thus, I have found a way to make French appealing to the very young right up through the middle-aged. I like to incorporate music, current events, games, media, conversation, and a sense of humor. At the same time, you do have to put the work in and study and memorize vocabulary, but if you start by playing memory games, for example, it can seem less overwhelming. I really do enjoy language, especially French, and I hope to help others learn to appreciate it as well. I am responsible and dependable, and I learned my French by studying it here in California (I have a BA in French and International Relations from UC Davis), and then becoming fluent by living abroad in Pau, France, and Paris, and Belgium.
