I am a recent MFA Writing grad with a strong affinity for language. I earned my BA through the integrative studies program at the University of Redlands. As a result of this unique approach to learning, I was able to fulfill the requirements for a degree in Creative Writing & American Government while also taking a variety of art courses. It was quite an interesting academic journey, and it taught me a great deal about creative and academic process. Upon graduating from the U of R, I moved North to my hometown, Healdsburg, CA, and began working in the wine industry (while continuing to write). After three years I decided it was time to go back to school, and now two years later, I am a graduate of California College of the Arts.
I have experience as a freelance editor and as an English tutor of all ages. My goal as a teacher is to guide each student from three platforms: content, understanding, and creativity.
