Mikako E. is a piano teacher and composer, born in Tokyo, Japan. She comes from three generations of professional jazz musicians. In Japan, she was not only a popular piano teacher, but also produced several successful music videos. Since arriving in the U.S. she has worked as an audio engineer, provided computer animations for the CD-ROM, Children of the Cranes, and composed music for it and for two CD-ROM games, Gazillionaire and Zapitalism. She is a member of the Music Teachers Association of California. Her works include songs, music for cello and piano, electronic music (her piece "Where Am I" was included in the 2003 "60x60" compact disk issued by Vox Novus) and Big Band Jazz charts.
