I possess a preliminary single subject teaching credential in English, substitute for the South San Francisco Unified School District, and worked two semesters as a long-term substitute middle school English teacher--one for the Hayward USD and the other for the South SF USD.

I have worked one on one with more than two dozen students with their English and Math skills through a company contracted with the LAUSD.

I am compassionate and patient yet thorough and disciplined.

I try to make learning fun and know that you'll gain valuable tools to help improve your English grammar, vocabulary and reading comprehension skills.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Government & Politics

I earned a Bachelors of Arts in Government and Politics at the University of Maryland, College Park which is located just outside of Washington D.C. During my studies, I interned for a State Senator at the Maryland General Assembly in Annapolis.

I have also worked on a number of political campaigns over the years.

Writing

I love opening the wonderful world of writing to my students. Each child has an unique perspective and an innate creativity just waiting to be explored.
