I began my tutoring business over twenty years ago and have specialized in creating individualized learning plans for each child I instruct. Not every child learns in the same way and so I focus on meeting the child where they are and implementing appropriate curriculum and teaching techniques based on their individual needs.
Standards today are harder than ever and I believe that providing tools to help develop understanding and awareness, build confidence, improve grades and reduce test anxiety is the key to having a student who is both successful and comfortable in the classroom.
During our first session, we will discuss goals, your child’s learning issues, and where you would like to see your child improve.
Subjects Covered:
Math: California Standards K-5, 6-8 Pre-Algebra, and Algebra 1.
Language Arts: Reading and Writing in grades K-9.
I am California Multiple Subjects Credentialed and have also provided instruction as an Independent Study Home School Teacher for over 10 years.
