Welcome to your first step to a better grade. Sometimes we need a little push to get us to that "Aha!" moment while studying a difficult subject in school. Nothing makes me happier than seeing that light bulb turn on as a student who thought they would never understand an idea or problem begins to gain confidence in himself or herself by solving problems on their own. Growing up, I was deeply interested in music, science, and mathematics. Despite being interested and willing to learn technical subjects, I have had my share of struggles with mathematics and know what it is like to suffer through a lecture involving lots of numbers and strange symbols.
I've worked with many students in the past 5 years; from elementary school students, to college sophomores and juniors. My past experience includes being a part of a nearby tutoring company in the city of Claremont, California as an in-home private tutor while attending Cal Poly Pomona, in Pomona, California. Past clients included middle school and early high school students in the areas of algebra, algebra 2, geometry, and physics. As a continuing engineering student, I have completed courses in mathematics up to multi-variable calculus, and physics (algebra and calculus based) which I still use and review actively to better assist students in need of a better approach to understanding and mastering these subjects.
My approach is specifically tailored to the student's needs. I believe that every student has the ability to perform well academically, sometimes we just need a new perspective to gain that motivation to really master a subject.
Whether you want to thoroughly understand the subject conceptually, or only want to learn how to solve problems efficiently to earn that grade as soon as possible, tutoring is definitely a worthwhile investment that I, as well as many other tutors, have witnessed to bring very positive results.
I hope to hear from you,
