AP Calculus and Statistics Tutor/CSUN Teaching Associate

Hello all,

My name is Andrew D. and I'm currently a graduate student studying Applied Mathematics at CSUN. In May 2012 I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with the Statistics option (Summa Cum Laude). In addition I'm a Teaching Associate for the CSUN math department and have 3+ years of math teaching experience. I have also won multiple scholarships and awards at my institution such as the Presidential Scholarship, Outstanding Graduating Senior Award, Abel Scholarship, etc. In the future I hope to become an actuary and have passed the first two examinations. Group Rates are also available. First two people can split the cost, but each additional person thereafter must pay an extra hourly fee (max 4 students).

Calculus

I can effectively tutor single variable and multi-variable calculus. Also at an additional cost I can tutor theoretical calculus.

Statistics

Statistics is definitely my favorite field and my other specialty. My degree has an emphasis in statistics and I have had a great deal of upper division and graduate courses in this area.

Probability

Probability is one of my specialty fields. I have passed an actuarial exam completely focused around Probability Theory.

Differential Equations

I received an A in partial and ordinary differential equations.

Actuarial Science

I passed the SOA Actuarial exam FM (Financial Mathematics) and exam P (Probability). Tutoring in these fields generally cost more because of the nature of these examinations and level of difficulty.
