I have been taking pictures since I can remember, but I never got into doing fashion or any other style of photography. I decided just last year to try it and see where it goes. I started taking some classes at Tri-Community Photography Center. These courses are quarterly and they teach you everything from beginner to advance. The classes I took were: Beginner Photoshop, Studio Lighting and Fashion Photography. By the 3rd month, I was hooked. I wanted to build my portfolio and started doing more every weekend. I joined several meet up groups, attended red carpet events and joined in on group shoots.
By the end of 2011, I had launched my own website and started to build my project. I got to meet with publicists, talent agencies, and started doing photo shoots with their clients. I wanted to be more of an exclusive photographer and not just a onetime deal. This is how I became the staff photographer for the publicity firm.
I own and only use Nikon Gears and most of my photo shoots are done in the evening. I have my own studio and a huge backyard that I use for all my photo shoots. I can teach your children basic to advance settings in no time. I will also show them the process flow from taking the photos to uploading them to Adobe Photoshop. If time permits I will have a live photo shoot so the kids can have a hands on experience with their camera. I too have kids and my oldest son was the only one that was interested in my profession. This summer I'm letting him join me and have him watch his dad do his work.
Today I am an editorial, fashion, advertising and lifestyle photographer. My passion for photography finally paid off this year. I've also worked under several Top Photographers to gain more experienced in the industry. Although self taught, I picked up his first film camera when he was at the age of 12. Since then, I have never lost my passion for photography. I have also worked with top modeling agencies, celebrity stylist, celebrity make up and hair stylist.
With months of online interviews, radio shows, Blog write ups, my work finally got featured in a magazine. Owner Cyrus Webb from Conversations Magazine based out of Mississippi, first contacted with me and became his guest on his radio show Conversations LIVE radio. This was the stepping stone for my career. If that wasn't enough, I finally landed my dream come true Job, to be a Contributing Photographer and Writer for a new Magazine, Fine Success Magazine based out of Florida.
I'm also starting a new online radio show in collaboration with Blog Talk Radio.
"I want to help others achieve their goals, give them an outlet where they can showcase their work, music, art, businesses and health. But we have to start where we live, and Los Angeles has plenty of opportunity you just need to know where to look."
