With 25 years of experience working directly with lawyers in the legal profession, I can tutor students who are taking paralegal studies courses or preparing for law school on subjects such as civil litigation, business law and legal research, including use of the Westlaw legal research database. I can also tutor anyone who wants to research and obtaining background information by use of the internet and public record sources. For example, I am a skilled genealogy researcher.
I am a certified paralegal and have many years of experience in court procedure, legal research, litigation and general understanding of state and federal court systems and administrative agencies.
The Dean over the Paralegal Training program at Pasadena City College has called me one of the best students they ever had in their program.
My tutoring style is to patiently help each student to understand the terminology associated with their subject. I use a gradual but thorough approach and build on what each student knows to increase their certainty on their material.
My goal is to help each student learn on his or her own so they really know their material.
