Math and Programming doesn't need to be difficult. If a computer can get it, you can get it. I've been lucky to have some great teachers along the way and your programming career depends on the strength of your foundation. Understanding and being able to visualize the key concepts in a simple way is important. I love what I do and being able to share my knowledge is a good experience.
I have been programming in C and C++ for almost 17 years. Had a successful career as a Software Engineer/Consultant for the last 13 years. I worked as a Computer Scientist for U.S. defense projects through Honeywell Aerospace. I'm also an Engineering Fellow at Manpower Inc.
My teaching style is to make the fundamentals clear and try to make it fun. We learn well when we're having fun. It is more rewarding for you to discover it than for me to tell you. Like Stanley Kubrick said, "The least effective way to communicate is directly. It only goes about an inch. But if you can get people to the point where they have to think for a moment and then discover it, the thrill of discovery goes right through the heart."
Besides engineering, I'm a filmmaker, have co-produced and directed a feature film, and financed 3 others. I enjoy writing, photography and music.
I'm able to meet during the evenings.
Let me know if I can help.
