Hello,
Students and parents, my name is Liliana but I go by the nickname of Lillie. I am a high school graduate who is attending The Art Institute- Hollywood, although my major is Digital Photography. I have worked with schools and non profit organizations with tutoring for children of all ages. I have worked with Pre-k to middle school children since I was in High School. I have seen improvement in the kids I have helped before which brings a great deal to me because it means I have helped as much as possible. My tutoring methods involve a safe and quiet environment, I also play light music in the background so the student doesn't leave focus but doesn't feel a learning block inside their mind.
As a college student I know how it gets when you feel like you have tried so much and have gotten nowhere. Well, I’m here to help because the more you try, the more you become successful. I never tell my kids you can’t do this or you can’t do that because I like to motivate. If the student gets stuck on a question or needs improvement in a subject I not only help as much as I can but I feed them education in a different prospective because lets face it not everyone learns the same. My goal is to make sure every student improves and to give more knowledge.
I have worked for the Tinkin Academy which was at a tutoring site where the kids, elementary - middle school, had to attend 2 hours of tutoring and after had different clubs to enjoy their time. I have also worked for STARS, an after school program in Tulare County and for the After School All-Stars here in the Los Angeles School District. I create learning in a fun and skillful way by showing your student different ways of applying that subject matter. I will not only help improve but I hope to help expand their minds with knowledge that they can use wherever it leads them.
