I have more than 7 years tutor and substitute teaching experience. I have taught at all grades and levels of students. To be a substitute teacher a background check and drug test must be passed--I have passed both of those and am still in compliance.

I enjoy tutoring because I believe that everyone needs a little help from a patient person sometimes. It could be that little push or extra help they don't receive in class that could turn their attitude from a dislike, to a like, or even love! I grew up loving school and learning. I would love more than anything to help anyone else have a similar experience or just to help make it less stressful.

I have a Minor in Philosophy, Bachelors in Communications, and a Masters in Mass Media Communications from UCF. I find that my education and background in communications comes in handy when trying to help a student learn a certain subject. I believe that it also has taught me patience and to be very understanding of other's needs.

Public Speaking

I have a bachelors degree and Masters in Communications. While obtaining my degrees, I had to take many public speaking courses. I passed all with flying colors! I also am currently employed by a television news station, where speaking in front of a lot of people every day is required.

Great Tutor — We've been very happy with Dottie. When we help our daughter with homework it takes 3 or more hours and there's a lot of stress involved for all parties.
