I have completed many C# classes in college including Programming Logic & Problem Solving and Advanced Game Simulation. I have also written customized applications in the medical field and developed games with Microsoft's XNA framework.

C++

I have completed three college level courses with a focus on C++. I became versed in object oriented programming, video game design, and advanced programming topics from these classes.

Computer Programming

I have 7 years of programming experiences with particularly extensive experience in the .NET framework, coding in both C# and Visual Basic. I have also developed several applications and video games in Java and C++.

Computer Science

I received a degree in Software Engineering, a branch of Computer Science, in 2010. I have a solid working knowledge of many programming languages including but not limited to Java, C#, C++, & VB. I have used many frameworks and technologies in both a professional and academic setting and am especially proficient in Object Oriented Programming.

Guitar

I have been playing guitar for 10 years and have taught over 25 students from ages 6-50 to play. I have a solid understanding of musical theory, chord progressions, scales, modes, arpeggios, and techniques that I very much enjoy teaching aspiring musicians or just those looking to pick up a rewarding new hobby.

Music History

I have completed a college level course and two high school courses in Music History. I have studied everything from the Baroque Era, through the Classical, and Romantic Eras, but I specialize in contemporary and new age music. I have a great deal of knowledge about the blues, classic rock, ska, reggae, hip-hop, funk, & alternative music.

Photography

I have been taking photographs since I was a teenager and completed a Photography course in high school. I have a good working knowledge of 35mm cameras, having worked with and Ashanti Pentax for several years. I know how to adjust apertures and F-stops in order to get the focus & effect you are looking for with your photos and I have developed black & white, sepia, and color photographs in a dark room many times.

Approved Subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet certified in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
