Dear Students,
Are you having some trouble with a certain subject at school? Do you have a hard time focusing or getting your work done easily and on time? Would you like some extra help, to work with someone who can be with just you to answer all the questions you have or to explain things in a different way until you understand it? Would you like to get your homework done so you have time for other things you love to do? Do you want to have some fun learning? Well, if so, I am here to help you!
I have been a teacher for 40 years and my favorite thing now is to work with one student at a time, especially to help you with what is hardest for you. I am also an artist and a life coach, so I have had many life experiences and I love to teach the whole student. I believe it's important to make learning fun and to engage creativity and the imagination whenever possible. I have a good balance between being friendly and authoritative and am a warm and loving person who children usually like a lot because I love children!
I have worked in public schools and in a Waldorf inspired charter school. I have taught all ages of elementary school from kindergarten to 6th grade and also adults--privately and through Adult Education and Community Colleges. I have lots of ways to discover what way you learn best and then to help you do that.
