I have a B.S in chemistry from UC Davis, with a pharmaceutical emphasis as well as a minor in environmental toxicology. I also have some research experience in pharmacology and vitification.
The bulk of my undergraduate focus was in the area of bio-organic chemistry, both theoretical and practical. Some of my favorite subjects studied were modern methods of retro-synthetic analysis of complex organic compounds, and bio-synthetic as well as synthetic pathways of natural products. Toward the end of the curriculum I began to study drug development and design using computational methods of enzyme-substrate docking.
However, the majority of my experience lies in tutoring/teaching undergraduate and high school chemistry . I have a passion for helping students establish a solid foundation in the fundamentals of science.
My ultimate goal is to eventually get a PhD in chemistry and teach general and organic chemistry to undergraduates.
