I absolutely LOVE mathematics, and there isn't any other way to say it. Since first grade, I have always excelled in math, always being in advanced math classes throughout these years. I currently am majoring in math, with aspirations in obtaining a master's in teaching, so I can move on to teach at a college and/or university.
While I was in high school, I privately tutored for various children in various different subjects. When I moved on to college, I became an SI (supplemental instructor) for EE 188 (an electrical engineering class). I helped college students further understand concepts that they obtained in the classroom. Whether it was through my explaining said concepts or giving them practice problems they they were able to work through during these sessions or at home, I made sure that they received adequate material in order for them to be successful in the course.
What I can do for a student is come into each tutoring session with a game plan. I will familiarize myself with every aspect of the student's curriculum and come into each session with pre-made practice problems for them to work on as well as flashcards (if need be) and practice tests for them to work on. The key to mastering any form of mathematics is practice, practice, practice. The more problems the student has been exposed to, the better that he/she will do come test time in school - it's that simple. I am great at tutoring, and I can promise positive results!
