I have always enjoyed tutoring, which is why I spent three years as an AVID tutor and as a one-on-one tutor while I was obtaining my undergraduate degree. AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a program that is designed to improve student's academic skills and prepare them to perform better in school.
Throughout the years of mentoring young minds, I have learned different methods to efficiently help students with their academic problems (having trouble to focus, falling behind in school materials). I can adapt to the student learning style and needs and design lesson plans accordingly to make sure that he would understand the material.
