I am new to WyzAnt tutoring, however I have around 11 years of experience with tutoring and mentoring peers and youth groups in JR High through college. I can keep your child motivated and focused on the subject while having fun learning it.
I have a great passion for science and technology, and as a result have studied advanced mathematics and physics prior to, and throughout college. The highest physics I have studied is atomic/quantum physics, and the highest math I have studied is Differential Equations (after Calculus series; differentials, integrals, multi-variable). Having a passion for what you are learning is extremely helpful for the learning process; I can tap into what your child is passionate about, and encourage learning through the relation of the subject at hand.
I enjoy working with youth and helping them problem solve. I think it is important for students to find the solutions themselves, but guided the easy way through an otherwise complicated system. One of the things I remember while learning from elementary through high school, is that often the answer was right in front of me, and it just took someone to explain it in a way that resonated with me before it clicked. I have the ability to explain the same thing in multiple ways depending on how your child is receptive to information or the subject.
