Hello person,

I'm Andrew. I'm currently a senior at CSUSB. My major is in Mathematics and I plan on becoming a high school teacher. I have a lot of experience in tutoring Mathematics. I've tutored in the high school setting, privately and have also held tutoring sessions at my house. I'm currently involved in a Youth Outreach ministry called Young Life. I'm on part-time student staff. I work with a lot of high school students in the urban setting of Moreno Valley, California.

I tutor various subjects within mathematics, from pre-algebra to number theory and proof. My favorite subject is Calculus, though I do love other branches of mathematics as well. I tutor by trying to introduce the conceptual understanding of what needs to be learned, then moving forward to a more procedural understanding. By building conceptual understanding students grasp and retain information better then, writing down whatever the teacher says. I try to tutor according to the Common Core Standards for Teaching Mathematics.

Overall, I will do whatever it takes to help you or your student succeed in mathematics.

Andrew has exceeded all expectations of a tutor, he goes beyond the call to ensure he can accomodate the student with tests and other requirements. He is an asset to the program.

Andrew came to tutor for the first time, yesterday Sept. 19. He was very professional. He got lost, which is easy to do in my area, but he called right away. Otherwise he would have been on time. My son seemed to catch on to his techniques in fractions, which is where he is struggling. Andrew made it fun and the 2 hours went by very quickly. My 14 yr. old son didn't even complain. Thanks Andrew!

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I never took the ACT but I took the SAT. The ACT is similar to the SAT. However, in my AVID class we were taught how to prepare for the ACT and SAT. I am sure that I will be able to reflect that knowledge on you or your student.

I'm pretty well rounded in Algebra 1. It plays into a lot of math that I deal with now, so it is really something that I understand and have had a lot of experience with.

Algebra 2 as well as Algebra 1 play a key role when you get into more advanced math. It's something I have had a lot of experience and practice with. And I will love to reflect everything I learned and know to help you or your student succeed!

Calculus is one of my favorite math subjects, though it's very tedious. I've completed all the calculus courses at the college I attend. I passed them all with A's.

I'm currently majoring in Mathematics at CSUSB and am sure that I can help your child in Elementary math. My education in math is very well rounded and I've also tutored various children in similar math at the local elementary school.

I'm not too shabby on the English part of the test, but for the math part, I'm your guy. If you need help in the math portion, I'm your guy.

I love Geometry. Geometry is a subject that I understand mainly because it is more visual then other math. In high school I got A's on all my exams. And I use to tutor people in this subject. But to be honest, I haven't done Geometry for awhile. But with a few moments to refresh my memory I'm sure that I will be able to meet your expectations.

I have completed and aced the Linear Algebra course at CSUSB with the average test/ quiz percentage of 98. I understand this type of Mathematics very well. I've done many proofs within this and have tutored fellow students in this course.

Prealgebra is a course of study that I will be very well at giving you direction and helping you learn. I comprehend the material correlating to Prealgebra very well.

I took precalculus during high school and I passed that class with an "A". Pre-calc is a subject which I am very comfortable teaching, I use to, in high school, tutor some of my classmates in my class that didn't understand it in class. I'm sure I will be able to meet all your or your students pre-calc needs.

In High School I was in AVID and we would help each other prepare for the SAT. I actually took the SAT and gained a lot of experience due to AVID and I will be able to reflect what I learned on to you or your student.

I never took an official trigonometry class, but I understand it because a lot of the math I do involves several of the trigonometric identities and functions dealt with in trigonometry. I'm sure I will be of great assistance in this subject.

The two pages you were reading were pages: 99 and 100. 9 + 9 + 1 + 0 + 0 = 19 The next page is: 101. 1 + 0 + 1 = 2 Therefore you were reading page 100 because the NEXT page must be page 101.
