Ultimately, I would like to teach at a university someday. Aside from the necessary steps of attending grad school for this goal, I also need to gain real-world experience in the mean time. It wasn't until I was a teacher's aide in college when I first realized my work benefited others aside from myself. Since then, I've been attracted to helping others so they can achieve what they want to achieve-a thought, I too, share as well.
As far as experience, I've had a great interest in video production and filmmaking over the last five years. Because of these two highly involved interests, I have challenged myself with writing, computers, communication, organization, but above all, patience. These skills, which can constantly improve, have applied in my experiences with independent productions, highly fast-paced professions in Los Angeles, being president of a college campus club, applying to grad school, and trying to start my own business. By no means have I fully accomplished some of my goals, but I know that my eagerness to keep trying will get me there. This is something I truly believe in, and is a mentality I'd like to encourage with anybody I come across.
