Hello soccer and fitness superstars!
My name is Jennifer but most people call me Jenny. I played college soccer at CSULA where I earned my bachelor's degree in Kinesiology (study of human movement). I worked a year as a fitness trainer, working with athletes and adults, and also as a physical therapy aide. I have the knowledge and experience in strength training, sports performance, injury prevention, and of course, soccer!
For the soccer players, my first lesson would dibble dabble in just about everything to fully understand my student's strength and weaknesses. According to my assessment, I'll focus a bit more on the weaknesses and develop a program that progresses his or her overall performance. It is completely up to the parent or student if they want to work strictly on soccer skills or to incorporate some strengthening exercises. As a former competitive athlete who has had two ACL reconstructions in the same knee, I know exactly how important it is, especially for women, considering they are more prone to knee injuries.
Now, if you're looking to get toned, lose weight, and strengthen your core, then functional fitness training is what we should focus on. I offer lessons for either soccer or personal training...or both! Up to you. The only thing I do not provide is a gym. We can work out at your house, the park, or add me as a guest to your gym.
