I received my High School Diploma from Riverside Independent Studies High School and that same year I received the President's Award for Academic Excellence. I was also placed in Who's Who in American High Schools. While growing up I took two years of Independent Studies, also known as Home School, and I practically taught myself during those two years, so I am aware of what it takes to succeed in learning at home. I have received the Computer Networking Program certification from the Computer Education Institute, the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification from Microsoft, and the A+ computer certification from The Computing Technology Industry Association, as well as several other computer-related certifications. I am very knowledgeable, experienced, and proficient with computers and I can teach practically anything one would like to know about computers, except that I know only a little about programming. In school I excelled in all subjects of study, especially in Math and English. I can teach almost any subject taught from Kindergarten through 12th grade. I am currently helping my father and my brother build their respective businesses. Last but not least, I have been playing the guitar off and on for about thirteen years. I enjoy teaching others how to play and I can teach at least the basics. I feel it is important to always be learning and to feed the brain good information in order to keep the mind strong and healthy. I strive to be a patient and creative instructor and I believe that using short and simple lessons is usually the most effective method to learn and to teach. I like to use "mnemonic devices," illustrations, and analogies to teach whenever I can, and I use and recommend specific dietary supplements that help the brain function properly to facilitate the learning process. I enjoy teaching any subject that I can to people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.
