Dear future student,

I am passionate about education and the positive effects it makes on a person's life. I truly want to be a part of those positive changes for you.

I have several years experience tutoring, including in-home and group tutoring. I have worked with all age groups from adult to early elementary. I currently serve as the part time director for an after school program for middle school age students where I do tutoring and homework help. I enjoy helping students and love sharing my knowledge and experience to help students better understand what has been presented in school. I believe in personalizing my lessons to best suit each student's ability and learning style. I want my lessons to be engaging, exciting, and most of all relevant. I believe this is the best way for students to learn

Even though I am an English major, I have considerable experience tutoring various levels of math. I am comfortable teaching levels up to algebra. I really love showing students how math truly does apply to everyday situations and sharing the joy of problem solving with young people. As an English major I value reading and writing skills. I try to help students understand that all subjects in school and life are easier when one is a better reader and communicator.

Thank you for taking the time to review my qualifications and keeping me in mind helping you meet your educational goals.
