My name is Tai. I have tutored in all levels of Mathematics privately, and enjoy helping others connect with math, chemistry and physics in a way they can relate to. Knowing everyone has their own strong learning style, I will seek to find yours and help you with ways to remember or take notes, and explore in a safe environment how to access the internet and avoid issues of malware, if you would like. Yes, I can teach computer basics as well, and train you to keep you and your family safe. If you are far away, I can connect to you remotely, in order to save on commuting and will show you what you need in some fairly simple ways. Let me assure you that learning can be fun and safe, when you have a good mentor/tutor. If you would like references, I can place you in contact with former students. So if you are local, we can meet at a public library, and I can bring my equipment to connect to the internet or if you are remote, I can connect to you after some minor setup.

I am a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, California in Mathematics with a Computer Science Option and so I hold a Bachelors of Science. I was part of the Kappa Mu Epsilon (Mathematical Honor Society). I'm currently looking to stay local, but am an active adult volunteer with 4-H as a Technology Leader for the Youth and Technical Tutor for the Stanislaus County Free Library, so I enjoy working with students of all ages.

And yes, English is my second language, so I can relate to you if English is not your first language as well. I studied for a summer with the Summer Institute of Linguistics (so I became acquainted with the International Phonetic Alphabet). I picked up the American phonetic alphabet at Cal Poly.

ESL/ESOL

English is my second language as well, however, I had speech therapy to correct my Ls and Rs and was quite fascinated with the American Language and other languages. When I was a youth in junior high, I bombed reading a long long poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
