Hello Students and Parents!
My name is Lindsey, but you can call me 'Z'!
I come from NJ. I have traveled across the country working in NJ, Philadelphia, WA, and CA teaching children about water (the cycle, pollution, conservation) and helping them connect to nature through art
I've been studying the sciences since the 6th grade
. In high school I completed 7 science classes before I graduated! I enjoyed Biology
and the Environment so much, I made it my undergraduate degree! Along the way, I discovered that I really enjoyed teaching others about the topics!
I look forward to teaching you[r children] because I know what it feels like to struggle through classes. I discovered different ways to understanding topics. In WA I began a Masters of Education, but I stopped because I wanted to make sure it was definitely what I wanted to do. The first year of the program was an intense program of teaching outdoor education and taking classes about Environmental Education and Understanding Classroom Dynamics. I know that there are so many different ways of learning and I want to help you find your way in your classes so you can get the most out of your middle/high school years!
A lot of my teaching experience has been outside of a classroom, so my methods are a little unconventional, but I am willing to try everything and anything to help you[r child] improve their understanding of the subject they are struggling in.
A side note of my hobbies: Photography
, dancing, singing
, taking nature walks, inspiring others, laughing, and making other people laugh. :-)
With your parent's permission, I want to show you a world in and outside of the text book!
I look forward to hearing from you!
