Hi!
While I worked on a Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling at Utah State University (2005-2008), I taught part-time as a substitute teacher for Modesto City and Stanislaus County schools. I attended CSU at Turlock and Stockton (2002-2005), focusing on all of the mandatory Psychology courses required for a Bachelor's degree (Behavioral analysis focus). From 2002 to the present, I have tutored college students in their studies, veterans in their homes on PC skills (hardware and software) as a sub-contractor for the VA, and I have taught grades Pre-K thru 12. Additionally, I have a BS in Business Administration from Rollins College.
I passed all sections of the CA Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST) in 2002 on the first sitting, and I have kept my certification current to date. Additionally, I passed the Miller Analogies Test on the first sitting without studying for it to get into grad school.
I have worked with probationers and parolees as a Program Manager, a Behavior Change Manager, and as an Employment/Education Coordinator using Cognitive Behavioral Therapeutic (CBT) techniques which assist my clients in making self changes that allow them to move forward in life in a productive, pro-social manner. I have facilitated groups where I train, coach, teach, and educate my clients in many areas such as Moral Reconnection Therapy, Life Skills, Anger Management, Change Management, Cognitive Skills and many other basic skills areas.
Currently, I teach and tutor in the Modesto area. I look forward to assisting you in achieving your educational/academic goals.
