For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by the processes behind visual and written communication.
I encourage students to put at least thirty minutes into the specific subject each day to build their skills and confidence. I am very skilled in connecting with people, and I am naturally inclined to help them succeed and reach for the highest they can reach, because I know that everyone has something unique and valuable to offer.
MORE BACKGROUND ON ME
I have experience in message crafting and campaign work. I'm currently enrolled in video production courses at De Anza College, and I will transfer to SF State University to complete my degree in cinema. At my previous university, I majored in Communication Studies wherein I strengthened my analytical writing threefold.
I am a native French speaker and fluent in Spanish, which I studied for five years, including at the Advanced Placement level. In the summer of 2012, I produced a video of interviews from my university campus's Summer Alumni Reunion. I take great care in the editing stage to put together something that speaks to viewers meaningfully. I took on several roles in an independent 30 minute student-written and student-produced film. I shared the editing job with the director of photography, and I volunteered myself as a boom operator, sound recorder and supervisor, and as a script supervisor and assistant director, utilizing my organizational skills to ease the flow of the production.
I am also trained in studio television production. I have worked the switchboard, teleprompter and sound in a control room, handled studio cameras, and appeared as talent, anchoring a youth-produced news program. I am meticulous and set high-quality expectations for myself in the work that I produce.
