I have been teaching special need students for 13 years. I have a Masters in Special Education Mild/Moderate and Moderate/Severe, from Cal State San Marcos. Currently I am teaching a 2/3 SDC/LH class.
During my years of teaching I have worked with student whose needs have included autism, visual/auditory processing delays, dyslexia, ADD/ADHD among others. I have also tutored Home/Hospital students who were medically fragile and required specialized lesson plans.
Each student has their own strengths that can be built upon to help them find ways to be successful in school. One-on-one tutoring is a helpful way to build that foundation.
