Hello, I have tutored both elementary and high school kids for about 3-5 years. I usually let the students study their lessons, and guide or give them further explanations and examples on the things that seemed confusing them. I give them mini quizzes, too, just to find out if they understand the lessons. Sometimes, if the students had the good grasp of the subject matter, I teach them an advance lesson; like a glimpse of what will be the next lesson. So, that the students will have an advance lesson and be able to jump ahead of the class and get a better grade. In this way, the students will be able to passed the class successfully.

NCLEX,
Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 1 is an introduction to the language of algebra. It is mostly about real numbers, linear equations, graphing relations and functions, and other basic algebraic problems.

Algebra 2 is mostly pre-college algebra. It is mostly basic and general math applications: things like quadratic equations, complex numbers, inequalities, probabilities, exponential and logarithmic equations.

I hold a bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering and have work in this professional field for 13 years. My subject of chemical specialty is more on chemical application than the theoretical chemistry, such as the thermodynamics, chemical processes principles, stoichiometry or chemical kinetics.

I have graduated from Los Medanos College in their Vocational Nursing Program and I have passed the NCLEX-PN Take 1 last Sept, 2009. I am now working as an elementary school LVN nurse for autistic children.

I have passed the NCLEX-PN on take 1.

This is one of my favorite subjects. Pre-algebra is not as hard as you think it is. The problems are mostly using logic and a little bit of mathematical applications.

Trigonometry was one of my favorite subjects in high school. I have also studied college algebra, analytical geometry, differential calculus and integral calculus with a minor in engineering math.
