Hi, my name is Iris, and I love tutoring Spanish, which is my first language. I have a bachelor's degree in child development education, in human resources administration. I am a counselor in strategic family therapy and brief therapy. I enjoy working with people and human interaction, and I enjoy working with kids.
I can help people to develop their basic reading, writing and conversational Spanish skills. Working with kids, I use the Montessori Method which comprises an educational approach and a style of teaching designed to maximize young children's potential by harnessing their inherent curiosity of the world and their natural born desire to learn in an environment which is conducive to a positive thinking and expansion of the student's educational horizons.
I can give instruction to non-Spanish speaking students in the Spanish language by presenting lessons and answering questions about different school material. I evaluate the progress of them and conference with parents about how their kids were doing.
Due to my ten years of experience in the field of business and Human Resources, as a HR consultant, I could help adult students in subjects as business letters, CVs, job interviews, or helping them to improve their Spanish writing, grammar, vocabulary development to improve their conversational skills. I can work in the evenings and on weekends.
