I am starting an intro to Latin course for adults for fun and to keep my skills up. The class will be in Pleasant Hill, small, $96 for 6 weeks of class not including books, Sundays 2-4pm from Mar 25- May 6 with Easter Sunday off.
I have been teaching college courses in composition, reading, literature, humanities, art, public speaking, and basic math and study skills for the last two years. While in school I taught an after-school elementary program, substituted in preschool, and volunteered in an alternative education high school.
I have a Master's in Comparative Literature specializing in English and Latin, a BA in Comp Lit with a minor in American and British Literature, and a certificate as an Associate Teacher of Early Childhood Education. I am currently completing a graduate certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). I also have units in French and ASL.
What is really important:
I'm nice. I'm friendly. I smile a lot. I'm patient. I have confidence in you, even though I haven't met you. I believe in helping people find the best in themselves.
